Classroom Rules

In this classroom, students are expected to follow the rules of the  John D. O'Bryant as outlined in the Student Handbook.

In addition, the following are the general rules of Ms. Hurst's classroom:

  1. Treat EVERYONE with RESPECT at all times.
  2. Students are to be in their seats, working on the "Do Now," and ready for class when the bell rings.
    1. "ready for class" means that students have turned in their homework, have come with their binders, paper, and a writing utensil. Students will not be permitted to leave the room to get thing they forgot once the bell has rung.
  3. Raise your hand when you wish to speak (unless otherwise directed by Ms. Hurst).
  4. Students may not leave the classroom without signing out or without a pass.
  5. Students should not be out of their seat unless you have raised your hand to ask permission.
  6. Food and drinks are not allowed in the classroom. Students may have water, in a bottle with a lid, and nothing else. Gum is not allowed in the classroom.
  7. Students will not engage in behavior that is in any way a form of physical harassment.
Ms. Hurst reserves the right to change or add to the classroom rules at ANY time, and will notify students of any changes that are made.
